Player Staging is an upcoming feature in the game which will allow players to customize their players. The feature was first introduced on August 25, 2013. There are 4 categories in it: Head, Torso, Legs and Feets, and each one may contain certain subcategories. Some items selected can be removed by selecting "Null" from their parent category.
